Responsive Website Design
Showcasing how I can create feeling and emotion through refined web design and storytelling

Background
As a designer and maker, I know how important it is to have a clear, compelling identity. When I set out to create a portfolio website for my own work, I wanted more than just a place to show my projects. I wanted a digital space that truly reflected my bold creative spirit and invited meaningful connections.
Research & Brand Strategy
I started by exploring top furniture/artisan portfolios to see what made the best ones stand out. What resonated with me was authenticity paired with professionalism — a voice that felt personal but trustworthy. This insight shaped my brand strategy: to lean into my fearless creativity while keeping the presentation refined and approachable, much like the balance I aim for in my furniture designs between form and function.
Website & Visual Identity Design
With that vision in mind, I designed a custom portfolio website that feels like an extension of my style. I chose a refined, but modern colour palette, gave the product a platform to shine, and created fluid navigation to make the experience immersive and engaging. The images capture the feeling, project stories reveal the process and passion behind each piece, and the personal “About” section helps visitors connect with me as the creator.
Results & Career Impact
Within three months of launching the site, I saw a 60% increase in client inquiries. More than numbers, this growth was a sign that intentional storytelling combined with thoughtful design creates meaningful connections and opens doors.
Final Thoughts
This project reinforced what I deeply believe at Nishibotsu: design is about more than aesthetics — it’s about connection and purpose. Helping creatives tell their story through a refined, purposeful digital presence is an extension of my passion for crafting furniture that doesn’t just fill space but enriches lives.
